Bruce Kronen accepted an appointment to Pilgrim UMC in June of 2005. Bruce is married to his wife Susan and has two daughters, Hope and Anna. Bruce is very active in Youth programs and has a organized, down to earth approach and deep sense of how the Lord moves him and how following His word can move you to amazing places in your life. Prior to his appointment to Pilgrim, Pastor Bruce served St. Francis United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church (Austin) and Glendale United Methodist Church. Pastor Bruce received a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Divinity Degree from Bethel University.

Pastor Bruce has made the following comments regarding his "vision of the church", "leadership style" and "theological perspective": Vision of the Church “The Church continues to be the body of Christ in the world and like any body it continues to be about tasks that both care for its own health and accomplish growth. The church is a change agent in the world called to the transformation of the world through the gospel. No one church in any one location can accomplish this calling for the whole world but each church is called to be about changing its own piece of the world as God has placed and gifted it.” Leadership Style “I believe myself to be effective in my interpersonal relationships." "I believe I have been effective in maintaining relationships even through some very difficult circumstances. I have experienced success in empowering people to do ministry in areas new to them.” Theological Perspective “My perspective is orthodox in belief of the Gospel and outwardly focused in the world. I believe the Bible is believable, that is, it has authority in our life and relationships. My/our life needs to be lived in harmony with the scriptures and the divine principles God reveals.” |
